So I did a little research on Norwegian apples, and it turns out that there aren’t any native species. These are Granny Smith’s — but tiny, knobby, and rather worm-eaten because Norwegians don’t drown everything in chemical fertilizer and pesticides like we do back in the States. It’s about the flavor, not the size, and these Granny Smith’s turned out to be much sweeter than the ones back home.
