I took this photo during our kayak trip this summer, when I got a better view of the lighthouse’s beacon. The original lantern (no longer working) sits beneath the red roof and has a white light with a focal plane of 6 m (20 ft). Today, modern lights flash white, red or green, depending on the direction, and blink on and off three times every eight seconds.
