My sister Ruthie eyes the porridge and pig somewhat suspiciously. The porridge turned out to be a hit, but the marzipan, not so much. I’m crazy for the stuff, but it seems like marzipan must be an acquired taste. It has a slight bitterness to its almond flavor and isn’t so sugary sweet as most American treats.
