Here’s perhaps my favorite thing about Norwegian parties — people love to sing at them. (I so wish Americans would adopt this practice!) Vidar’s wife Sophie (far right) composed a couple of really funny songs about Vidar and performed them with her choir. Afterwards, a fabulous DJ took to the stage and everybody came out on the dance floor. Again, not something you see much of at American birthday parties.
