Note the St. Andrew’s crosses above. (The saint was crucified on an X-shaped cross). These create a cathedral-like, open-air clerestory (gallery) above that has round portholes for light and draws the eye upward towards the heavens. The altarpiece is from the 1600s and the pulpit is from the 1500s.
